Burning with determination, Yuki rocketed out of the house with her back pack dangling from one arm. She lived alone for she left on her journey when she was 10 years old. "Oh my Lord I'm going to be late!" She shouted to herself. Her companion and partner in crime, Eevee, ran at her side. As they ran down the hill, a enormous tower began to show. It loomed over the green fields ahead and seemed to just be a mirage. "Were not going to make it V!" Yuki shouted to her brown companion. "Go, Pidgey!" She shouted as she threw a red and white ball from her belt. The ball hit the ground and out came a brown and white bird. It flew into the sky, flapping furiously. Yuki grabbed onto the Pidgey's Legs and it flapped easily though the sky, carrying her and Eevee.
A bell rang and people all over the region were gathered in a swarm near the giant gates. This was the home of Giovanni. Everyone knew he was the most powerful and riches man in all of the Kanto Region. As the door open, all was quiet as if the world stopped. No one moved, not even the wild Pokemon. A shining white light peered out from the opening and we all stared in awe. This was the real beginning of the world.

"Let all those worthless, be gone now for we have no time for losers." The powerful leader spoke with dignity. I could feel the tension in the room and to my amusement, a couple of uncertain trainers that arrived turned around and walked away. Pathetic I thought. I looked back at Giovanni and he shared the same smile as mine.
"All those who stand before me, are you ready for a challenge?" No one answered, it was silent. "I said... Are you Ready for a challenge?" He growled more ferociously.
"Yes!" I shouted with many others from the group.
"Good." He purred and smiled. I saw him scanning over us with his eyes, looking for either the weakest or the strongest, I couldn't guess.
The clouds covered the sky and it looked like it was about to storm. I looked back up at Giovanni who was sitting in some kind of king chair in front of the doors to his mansion. He looked as though it was what he planned. A Pokemon that I've only heard of and seen in books appeared right before my eyes. It was covered in machines and looked awfully unhappy, like a prisoner. To say the least, I was amazed. Giovanni had gained control of Mewtwo. The Cloned legendary that originated from Mew.
"This, my Rookies is Mewtwo. The greatest legendary in all of Kanto. It is in my Control. Anyone who is willing to become Rocket material, step forward." His eyes glared at everyone in the group, his eyes sparkled with a challenge. I stepped forward first. Many other people followed me and Giovanni smiled. That just eliminated half of the group. More than half of us didn't step forward.
"Leave!" He shouted. I guessed he was talking to those who didn't take the challenge. I stood there looking up at him, eyes narrowed. I didn't trust him at all.
"Those of you who took the challenge will fight Mewtwo with your own Pokemon." He announced. I had just started out. My only Pokemon were an Eevee and A Pidgy. That was completely unfair. I bet alot of the trainers here felt the same way, but it still remained silent.
