Ranger knew that there was no way he could win by force he allowed the gust to knock him back, and was considering staying down, until he heard his brother's voice. "What are you doing?! I know I didn't teach you to be a quitter! You may not be able to beat this pokemon, but definetely don't quit! Now, get back up and show him what you're made of!"
"You're right big bro." Ranger said weakly. He got back up, badly hurt, but not out yet. He then tried another strategy. He used copycat again to copy Suicune's gust. This time he got inside of the gust. As the tornado of win came closer to Suicune, Ranger would jump out of it and land behind Suicune, using copycat again. He didn't know how well it would work, but he hoped that two gusts hitting him from behind and from the front would hurt him more than a single gust.

Suicune looked at the tornado and smiled. He hooked his claws into the ground, he wasn't prepared to move however, he would let the tornado hit. The blue canine took the hit of the gust, hardly phased. He knew he had a good stamina and he also noticed that Ranger had a good stamina as well.

Ranger smiled as he saw that Suicune wasn't hurt in the least. This just proved more and more how strong Suicune really was. Ranger sat down, breathing heavily. He couldn't even continue. He was completely exhausted. He looked up at Suicune and smiled. "Thanks for accepting my challenge. I would love to continue to fight with you, but I'm exhausted." Ranger laid back in the grass, closed his eyes with a smile on his face. "You know, Suicune. I'm glad I was able to battle you. Of course I lost horribly and didn't stand a chance, but it was a good battle, and I learned a lot from it." Ranger sat up, and looked Suicune in the eye with a look of determination. "I just hope that next time we meet, I'll be able to give you a run for your money."
Of course Ranger had fun, but he never forgot why he really challenged Suicune. He had to test his ability. Of course he hadn't expected to defeat Suicune, but it did show him where he was compared to a legendary and he had a long way to go.
